Photoshop Contests: What you Need to Win?

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

If you go to a site like this where people have created images, people to see the image and atmosphere for him now right to vote. At first glance, they must decide if they want to win for this particular image vote on the election. But what triggers these reactions will give people a strong voice for the photo? Something must be present, the user says: Hey, it’s really good and deserves to win. You have to go the extra mile to vote on a single type Photoshop, you manage a photo will not help you there at the head of the competition and win to take a high score. It takes a lot more than that to make your image stand out from the rest.
The creativity is by far the most important aspect to a photo contest. If there is a series of Photoshop images for people and for the watch and then vote on them are likely to get repetitive, especially if they are all in the same category. It takes a level of creativity to make something unique and special that will enable the head and shoulders above others and are really justify a score of 9 or 10 to create a Creativity can come from a variety of sources.
One source, where creativity can be drawn in terms of color and design variations. If the image has a different atmosphere and colorful, which apart from the rest of it can automatically take someone in the eye and give him the coveted top score of the image. The same can be said about an image that can have that painting a lot to say. The key is to be different, but in the right direction.
To actually win a contest you differentiate from the rest of the pack, while maintaining image quality for the key. People will not vote for an image very creative if one of the sloppiest things there. Even if the creativity is in place, they still need a good amount of quality and professionalism they have. You can have the best idea in the world, but if you do not fully implemented, can you order in the competition then your image to work not go anywhere but to the very end of the list quickly with high scores and low.
If you look at the big picture that you really need to have the whole package to win a contest with your Photoshop skills. An experienced user of Photoshop can put their skills to the test and it is very useful. You must be able to take their creativity and they then use for an image that may differ from the images of others to do. Once you can do that and look like a good image, then a breeze for people to get a high score. It is the creativity, quality and differentiation, which will make your Photoshop image in the top of the pile with his scores.

What are some good alternatives to Photoshop for someone making comics?

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

I do a lot of online comics and graphic novels, but also things like posters and others, but I think that Photoshop is not entirely built around this kind of work. There are decent alternatives? Vista users. My computer will handle everything that is compatible, then this is not a problem. Thank you in advance!

Modeling and Sculpting a hand in Blender 3D Part 1

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Please note: THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL This is merely me creating a base mesh of a hand to sculpt with later. This is probably the first real modeling project I’ve attempted in roughly four years. I’m fairly proud how it came out. However, when I attempt this again when modeling a character I’ll tackle this a little differently. During the video you’ll notice I backtrack several times as I work my way into a corner and have to attempt something else. Now that I’ve done this, I can think of a better way to model this. I’m sure you’ll see that on a later video. This is the first in a two part video set. This is just a base mesh that I’m going to use when I take it into Blender’s sculpting mode. I’ll be able to fix some of the issues that are apparent in the model and add a lot of detail. Hopefully it’ll be something that will make me proud. Once that’s done there’s a tool in blender to allow me to make a new mesh based on the surface created in sculpt mode, making for a much cleaner topology. Music is provided by the JPFM Band.
