Just got this nice XSI Canon EOS 450D camera, but all my pictures come out at 72dpi, even the larger format. I am a graphic designer who needs high quality photos for printing, so 72dpi does not cut it. This May compact dpi with a higher resolution? If yes, how? Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the Cadillac photo-enhancers: Photoshop CS! Retouching in Photoshop can be a breeze. . . but not until they learn. The Photoshop CS program is a powerful application, you can spend years just mastering the basics. Most of us, however, did not really need a mastery of Photoshop. What most of us want is the flexibility, integrity and broad range of choices that Photoshop offers. Let us examine briefly some of the most elementary corrections in Photoshop Photo CD, what you really need. Here are the first steps recommended by experts, and represent the process applies to each photo: 1 – First, duplicate the original and only works on a copy. That way if something goes wrong, you’ll always have the original. This is a great habit to enter. 2 – Also make sure the desired resolution. There are two basic types of “resolution” in computer graphics: the screen resolution and image resolution. The image resolution varies from low (about 72 pixels per inch, or “PPI”) to high (No. 300 dpi or higher). Obviously, the higher the resolution, the larger the file. To change the resolution of the image, click Image and then “Image Size”. In the bottom left of the window that opens, type the PPI you want, for example, 300 ppi. ( You’ll probably want to change the size at this point. That is, you always keep the PPI is selected.) 3 – Use your crop tool () from the toolbar to shape your image to your liking. Many people do not notice the width and height options in the menu at the top, but it is a very useful feature. Sometimes, you must complete a violin rather than with precise figures after harvest, the correct way is to enter the width and height immediately after you click the Crop tool, and then harvested, dragging diagonally down with mouse. You’ll notice the exact size appear without a fight. 4 – Experience with automatically adjusting features. Click on “Picture” from the top menu, then “Settings”. You will see the options automatic levels, contrast and color. After trying it, you can go ahead and hone in Polish, if you want. You can also try Image> Adjustments> Shadow / Highlight (or “variations”). You’ll be amazed by the variety of preset options here. How do you gan imagine, there are infinite variations on the themes represented by these basic steps and choices thereof. But Photoshop is extended in front of them and Into the Great Beyond, which offers a range and an infinite universe of options. Your only problem will go away.
