2nd stage of my free time fun work in progress mess around sculpt. Once I’m happy with the textures I’ll go back over the model and add the uber fine details.

I made it, a low poly cage i max and rest in mudbox.
where did you get the armor?
looking good man
right on! thanx for the pointers. ill check it out TONIGHT!
To be honest I do the lot, game stuff, cinematic models, multi uv’d film res model , enviromental stuff…done just about the lot in my time even product shots lol.
Take a look at the mud real time normal map preview vid I upped, if that doens’t seel if for you nothing will. The game guys are going nuts for it.
hmmmm… excellent points. maybe i should try mudbox out. ive been an avid zbrush user for years, but those r things a guy like me cant pass up!
i BADLY need a new graphix card tho. cant afford it now since the one i need, requires a new MB and processor. god it sux being poor
you model straight outta mudbox (or zbrush) right? you dont use normal maps? i specialize in game-ready models so i make my base meshes in maya, and create high rez meshes in zbrush for use in normal mapping.
I’ve used both over the years but made the witch to mud2k9 (and also act as advisor to autodesk on it) as it allows me far more freedom. The ability to paint and see all my map types on my high res sculpt is something thats too good to give up. Plus it gets higher raw polygon counts than zbrush (no matter what some people will tell you lol.)
So I wont be changing back to zbrush now.
nice work man! i thought u used zbrush tho. any benefits to using mudbox over zbrush?
for some reason when i see this guy im reminded of the monsters in the ninja turtles live action movie. Bebock and rocksteady. I guess its how hes holding up his head.
