Mudbox 2009: Bio Mech Girl

This one took a while to do as you can imagine. So no speed sculpts this time, but I did manage it all in one sitting. The final polycount was just a shade under 10 million

No, in this case it was all sculpted by hand. No curves, stencils or stamps etc.

Just as a quick question, I know you must get these alot, but:
when you sculpt in things like the neck circular hole, do you do that with a default sculpt tool, a stamp, a stencil, or a curve? Just wondering what your workflow is like to get such a perfect circle and if you have to make custom stamps/stencils alot while working. Thanks, love all your work, been following for awhile and watching a few of the tuts you’ve put out.

Thanks guys, yeah there’s more than a touch of Giger in there. It was niggling me last night that it reminded me of something but I cound’t work out what…so top marks for getting the metropolis link….its so obvious now you me mention it.

I’m planning on taking this one right up to ready for animation.

Excellent job, Wayne! Very H.R. Giger-ish.
