FumeFX Car Bomb

–Watch in HD– First project done in FumeFX+3DSMax. Got the car from another scene I downloaded, forgot who’s it was. Took about, 4-5 hours for the simulation, and about 6 hours for the final render. Only one Shadow-mapped light source.

    Alright, I am back. I’ll have to mess around with the ragdolls for a while, to get it right, etc. I’ve NEVER worked with them in 3DSMAX, so it will be a while. I’ll let you know.

    Haha, well. I’ll try tonight, but I’m going on vaycayshun tomorrow, for a week. So if it’s not up tonight, it won’t be up for another week, when I get back from my vacation.

    You know what? If I can figure out ragdolls, I’ll add a ragdoll to the scene. Just for you.

    Nah, this time it ended on a random number, it was 167 or something like that. I thought might’ve run out of memory, but I’m running 4gb of RAM, with pretty much no other background apps running.

    I think I know…you set the amount of frames to 100, but the simulation probably lasted longer. If you went back and changed the length of the animation, you could see the whole simulation.

    Yeah, the actual simulation lasted quite a while longer, when the smoke has sort of half-dissipated, but it cut off 1/3 of the way through. :(

    Still not sure why.

    Awesome explosion, but you should’ve started the explosion a little while after the animation starts, because I didn’t get to see the car before the explosion.
