when i add the images to the view port backgrounds the left view and the front view are in the centre of the x and y axis and i want the wheels to sit eaxactly on top of the x axis, also wen i create a box to check if it all matches up, it doesnt match up but i have made sure the the images are all the right sizes, any help would be much appreciated, thanks
Yeah right i give that resolution only for example but i like when something got a lot of details if you want you can check my work 1,5 hour of work and I’ve got a simple AUDI R8 body if You want to see that i can send You link to that.
No problem for your english, i’m bad with it too
Thank you so much for smart hint.
I think this is a big limit of 3DsMax, Maya and Blender doesn’t need 1200×1200 images to work fine.
1200×1200 and then set them to view port background after that nothing will lose aspect ratio everything will be ok but the point is that the pictures must be centered if not the dont match together and you cant model anything check centering like in this video by drawing a box. I think You understand what i mean with all of this and sorry for my English.
Hi i have solution for You simply edit Your blueprint that each part of it have same size for example cut front image of Your car blueprint and place it on new document in photoshop or other software and center it so if you have new document with size 1200×1200px picture must be exactly on center of this work space do same to the other parts putting them to new document with same size and saving them with background or with transparent background then You will have 3 pictures with
i load 3 images (top, front, side) as in tutorial. when i zoom in/out in my Viewport Top, then i zoom in/out in Viewport Front and aspect ratio of my background become like Top View. I locked and bitmap matched as in tutorial.
I use 3Ds10, help please.
Excuse my lack of knowledge of 3dsmax, I’m just an apprentice, but when they enter the picture reference (blueprint back of the car) that part of the tutorial not made clear.
appreciate your attention.

how did you make the side image on the x axis? when i load the image, the background image is right in the center of x and y axis on the Side Perspective view.
How did you lined up the images? My top image is always bigger and it’s not lined up with the left. What should I do?
My car is not on the floor, half of it is under the ground. What should i do??
Hi,
