I have put a light (sun) into my animation and i have put the target camera in a position that shows the sun being obscured by landscape. ie: the landscape is blocking the sun. However, the sun still remains to be seen. If i tick the “Fade if Behind Object” box then the sun completely disappears and the large rays cannot be seen.

How can i solve this so as the camera pans around the landscape, the sun fades behind the object with the rays and artifacts still visible??

Glad it’s solved :-) If you’ve got a register version of C4D contact your local tech support and they’ll help you get the help system working. It’s very useful :-)

thank a lot,you made my day!

My help system never worked (it say the versions are different or something like that) and the VR settings were too deeply hidden for a lazy person like me.

I’m exited,my first QTVR after 1 year looking at the greyed out tab!

The VR object is described well in C4D’s help system. Basically, on the save page choose save as VR object. Then on the Quicktime VR tab you can choose the settings. More steps will create a bigger file but smoother rotation. Leave start and end angles at default for complete 360 spin. Your camera will spin around the object axis so make sure all is centered if you want to spin around the centre of the object. Move camera far enough away to ensure your object fits in the frame. Hope that helps!
