This is my Year 3 project walkthrough/cg animation of my turkish bath/spa scheme. I used sketchup, max, cinema 4d, photoshop and imovie, a mac and a pc.lol… It explained visually my ideas, and enhanced my presentation by giving a feel of the design. This project achieved a 1st, RIBA approved.

at the end of this year im going to be presenting a year long project of our dreamhouse and hopefully ill be showing off one of these, beautiful animations. architecture 3 sure is fun!
dubai? its completely nothing dubai! It fits in perfectly within the context of a modern day british city, and the idea of a turkish/roman bath is something that was very current a few centuries ago in many areas around england. I suppose it would be very dubai if it was the tallest building in leeds with a multitude of exotic shapes and spaces..lol

yeah im working on my thesis atm…. might post some work when its done… not one to contribute to youtube though, just a viewer for the most part… but sure, youtube might get luky yet… keep up the good work mate

Im in my final year now (6th year) and for my thesis project i’ll try to make another animation to compliment my work – well, if i get time to! and IF i do it’ll be decent, similar to the style of this and ‘The Cinema’ project, but the rendering will be better.

listen mate, fantastic project, i study architecture myself and i can only imagine how long that entire project took. very elegant and quite beautiful, i loved the feel of modern integrating with the traditional… its the kind of design which i personally think should be used more frequently in urban contexts. As for the renders, they were more than good… you are an architecture student, not a 3d visualisation major.. well done, should be proud of that work
for an architecture course, and for a student who doesnt need to even do renders for a project as it isnt necessary, these were excellent renders. lol. its all about the added value.

the point u made about stress, n the growing need for these types of facilities was a really, really good angle liked it a lot.

hey thanks! well this was the first project in third year – i think it took AGES to design and get the layout/plans etc right.. then it took me about 2 weeks to model it up and get the renders out. i did a few all nighters but its worth it! lol.. check out my other vid – the cinema. i think that one is better as i time-managed better and was able to get a more visuals and a better overall walkthrough – even tho the video render wasnt the best it still showed wat i wanted!

ok so u said a lot of time…i believe u!! hehe. cud u be more specific though? in our course we have around 4 months to do a project…come to think of it sounds right i guess. i mean till u come up with a good concept and research, level of detail etc…i’ve just started using 3ds max with acad…so obviously i’ll take longer then you. but i’m just curious..how many days/months does it/did it take? (i’m in 3rd yr now btw) &10x 4 sharing!
