I have the book in a timely manner. The only problem with this book is that there are several torn pages. Some of the pages have print missing from the lower part of the pages.

Well. Better not crash if the sample files contained in the program! About half of the samples (there are tons of them) crash the program once it without doing anything more open than opening too! Very hard to imposable the tutorials, without doing the rehearsals! Would be great if not for this major problem!

Teaches you a little here and there, but the free private lesson pdfs at Autodesk are as good or better in some cases. The example of tutorials are written quickly, so that the steps. Some of the finished files on the DVD are also wrong. (As the bucket of the backhoe loader Lesson 41) Looks like no one went through the tutorials to see if they would work as described. Large portions of the material without interactive tutorials that show you how it works.

  5. This book, while much of the information, basically to be much too volatile "teaching". It is an excellent overview of all areas of Max, the focus on access and learning about the capabilities of Max is helpful. But if you're searching tutorials and thoughtful reasons to skip this title. Most exercises have to start by selecting an existing scene from the DVD, which has already been completed to 90%, which effectively kills the learning process while FRAMEWORK and workflow. And what is equally important, are screenshots of the tutorial very sparse, which prevents you from reading the book on its own. Overall, an impressive tome that works well as a general reference, but not really to teach.
